Preschool education has become both a "hot educational topic" and an "important topic." Blackwell Preschool has focused on providing a quality program since 1987.

The Future

Begins Here.

Graduation

for the Four Year Old and Kindergarten Classes

Here at Blackwell:

  • We believe that every child's preschool years should be filled with wondrous experiences.

  • We guide preschoolers as they develop socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually.

  • As a part of this development, simple Bible stories are learned while the love of God and His son, Jesus, are modeled by teachers and staff. Bible memory verses are also learned.

  • We believe children learn through their play and activities designed to bring about the optimal learning.

  • We encourage problem solving and the development of communication skills while cultivating a love for learning for each child.

Blackwell Preschool and Kindergarten

have created a developmentally appropriate learning environment that empowers children

to be confident, successful, problem solvers.

Curriculum
Our Curriculum is based on the North Carolina Standards for Pre-K and Kindergarten. We emphasize an intellectually challenging, play-centered curriculum where children have many opportunities to succeed.

Field Trips

Our classes have many opportunities to explore the world through field trips.  Many are scheduled every year.  We visit the Pumpkin Patch, the Fire-Protection Program,  the Aquarium, Fun Junction and the strawberry patch, etc. We provide as may different experiences as time allows.

Learning to Help Others
We create an atmosphere of giving through raising money for those who direct money and other resources to help children. Our students have helped St. Jude's Hospital, and the Pediatric Leukemia and Lymphoma Society as well as the local food bank.

Chapel

Our weekly Chapel includes Bible stories and themes such as Kindness and love. We use music/songs to help each teach different. Chapel is held in the church sanctuary.

The daily routine fosters curiosity, responsibility, and creativity. Please use this website and our Facebook page to learn more about us. Phone calls are welcomed.
